International Combat Sports

It’s always good to finally get your first professional wrestling show of the year in 2020 under your belt. Usually in most cases the first wrestling show of the year is a little bit earlier but this year it’s about 3 weeks in.

This evening I was the sound guy for International Combat Sports, a professional wrestling company, which is based out of Dunbar, West Virginia.

The owner started out as a worker or wrestler as the jargon goes but soon decided it wasn’t for him and thought promoting would be suited for his personality. So he started using funds from his job and renting a ring to start his promotion. He originally had a company called Savage Championship Wrestling but decided to name wasn’t up to par.

So about a year and he folded Savage Championship Wrestling and relaunched the next year as International Combat Sports. As the name implies it has a few different rules than just normal professional wrestling.

One of the rules is there’s a 20 count on the outside of the ring just like in Japan. Also the Grand Championship is defended in two out of three fall matches.

So it’s just a little outside the norm of a regular professional wrestling promotion. If you are really interested in checking out I’m going to post a link here and thank you for reading!
